Kevin Durant just torched Scottie Pippen in his latest tweet

Scottie Pippen recently came out and called out Kevin Durant, and the NBA sharpshooter wasn’t going to let it slide.

Ever since the Brooklyn Nets were eliminated by the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, fans have been quick to troll Kevin Durant. Down 113-111 in overtime, Durant had a chance to either tie the game or send things to double overtime, but his last shot of the night was an airball.

Believe it or not, Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen called Durant out, saying the difference between him and LeBron James is that James is more of a team player and he wouldn’t have forced that kind of a shot. Well, Durant found out about this and absolutely leveled him on Twitter.

Kevin Durant blasted Scottie Pippen on Twitter

In case you forgot, Durant is referencing a 1994 postseason game between the Bulls and Knicks here. With the game tied in the final seconds, Phil Jackson drew up the last shot of the game to go to Toni Kukoc instead of Pippen. Once Pippen found out the ball wouldn’t be in his hands, he went to the end of the bench and refused to go back out on the floor. Yikes.

So for Pippen to come out and attack Durant for not knowing how to play team basketball sure is hypocritical. Durant is one of the best shooters in the NBA. Brooklyn of course wanted the rock in his hands with the game on the line. Unfortunately for head coach Steve Nash and the Nets, Durant’s shot didn’t come close and their dreams of winning the NBA Finals came to a close.

At the end of the day, though, Nash would likely go with Durant nine times out of 10 to try and win things for his team. Durant is also never going to put up with any kind of hate on social media, which Pippen learned the hard way this week.
